Job offer: Postdoc Postion in the BMBF project INPLAMINT (f/m/d)

The University of Cologne is one of the largest and most research-intensive universities in Germany, offering a wide range of subjects. With its six faculties and its interfaculty centres, it offers a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines and internationally outstanding profile areas, supported by the administration with its services. The INPLAMINT project aims to elucidate the key processes involved in nutrient turnover and fluxes in the plant-soil-microorganism system in order to optimise agricultural biomass production. Novel management strategies, including the application of high-C amendments, will be tested under real field conditions. We will assess the effectiveness of the new management measures in respect to soil microbial stoichiometry and C-use efficiency under different soil and climatic conditions, in particular early summer soil drought. https://www.fz-juelich.de/inplamint/EN/Home/home_node.html YOUR TASKS » Analysis of microbial stoichiometric relationships in agricultural long-term experiments » Determination of microbial nutrient limitations and stoichiometric thresholds » Analysis of changes in nutrient pools and fluxes in soils with different inputs of organic matter » Writing reports and publications.
